Millennials: Bitcoin is a better investment than real estate
A survey conducted in the United Kingdom found that 21% of the population aged between 21 and 35 would prefer to invest in Bitcoin instead of real estate.
The research has been commissioned by Get Living London, a residential owner and rental management company, to better understand their position on property investment.
What is emerged is that Bitcoin, a digital asset that many would consider a high-risk investment, is becoming a better option for millennials who believe there are more rewarding investments to be made that putting money in bricks and mortar.
The survey has been conducted among 3,000 Millennials and 57% consider property investmentover the next five years to be “high risk”.
Among Millennial homeowners, almost half would recommend to first time home buyers that they continue to rent for now.
The study revealed:
“For Millennials the soaring performance of Bitcoin – followed by an almost equally profound correction – holds more intrigue than the prospect of steady growth in house prices. This translated to 27% of male Millennials polled believing Bitcoin represents a better investment than property.”
